the

to
win
18th
Annual
COMP
Cams
Topless
100
at
Batesville
Motor
Speedway.
Landers,
a
veteran
open
wheel
modified
driver,
took
the
lead
from
Earl
Pearson
Jr.
of
Jacksonville,
FL
with
three
laps
to
go
in
the
Lucas
Oil
Late
Model
Dirt
Series
sanctioned
event.
Jimmy
Owens
of
Newport,
TN
edged
out
Pearson
at
the
finish
line
for
second,
followed
by
Pearson,
Terry
Phillips
of
Springfield,
MO
and
Brady
Smith
of
Solon
Springs,
WI.
“I
don’t
know
what
to
say,”
said
the
29-year-old
driver
in
victory
lane,
“This
is
my
first
Late
Model
win,
to
do
it
here
on
my
home-
track
and
in
front
of
my
fans;
it’s
something
I’ll
always
remember,”
said
Landers.
“I
have

my

did

great

all
day

The
afternoon
heat
and
the
baked
track
surface
forced
every
team
that
finished
the
race
to
pit
at
least
once
for
fresh
rubber.
Don
O’Neal
led
the
first
43
laps
of
the
race
until
yielding
to
polesitter,
Chris
Madden.
Madden
then
held
the
top
spot
until
ninth-starting
Scott
Bloomquist
took
over
the
lead
on
lap
46.
Bloomquist
and
Madden
then
ran
one-two
through
several
caution
flags.
Madden
re-gained
the
point
from
Bloomquist
on
lap
57,
but
Bloomquist
came
back
five
laps
later
to
re-take
the
lead.
Bloomquist
held
the
top
spot
until
a
lap
84-restart
when
Landers
slipped
under
him
on
the
backstretch
to
take
over
the
lead,
much
to
delight
of
the
crowd.
Bloomquist
began
to
fade
as
he
slowed
on
lap
87
to
bring
out
a
caution.
He
darted
into
the
pits
to
change
tires.
Bloomquist
had
been
the
only
car
on
the
track
that
had
not
pitted.
On
the
restart,
Landers
was
challenged
by
both
Pearson
and
Owens.
Pearson
slipped
by
Landers
on
lap
95
for
the
lead,
but
Landers
came
back
with
authority
to
take
over
the
top
spot
for
the
final
three
circuits.
Landers
went
on
to
hold
off
both
Pearson
and
Owens
as
the
three
almost
came
across
the
finish
side-by-side.

but
said
afterwards
he
should
have
pitted

Andy Carpenter Wins the 2nd Annual Chrome Shop
Factory Stock Shootout!
After all the cars where
inspected and a number of cars where DQ'ed, the winner of the
2010 Chrome Shop Factory Stock Shootout is, Andy Carpenter. Andy
takes home the $750.00 Prize money and this is his second year
to win this event.
In our other classes the
winners where Johnny Virden in the NeSmith Late Models, Joe
Payne in the Street Stocks, Richie Tosh in the IMCA Mods and
Skip Lane in the Front Wheel Drives.
August 19th, 20th and 21st
will be the 18th annual Comp Cams Topless 100 paying $40,000.00
to win and $2000.00 to start. Friday and Saturday night will
also include the IMCA Mods.

feature event!
Tony was glad to see the
checkered flag fall as his tires had endured about all they
could in the 25 lap feature, "I had a tire that was starting to
separate, I am not sure if the belts had broke in the tire or
not, all I know is when I pulled into the pits after the win, it
didn't look like it could have made to many more laps" Tony
Said.
Winners in our other
classes for August 6th where Shawn Walsh in the IMCA Mods, Joe
Payne in the street stocks, Tyler Stevens in the NeSmith late
models and Andy Carpenter in the factory stocks.
The Final Night
of Round 4 of the
Isle Of Capri Late Model Series is Complete, "Kid Smooth" Billy

What a wild weekend
at the Batesville Motor Speedway, we had a new winner in the
Isle
of Capri late model series on Friday night with "Fireball"
Jeff Floyd taking the feature win, then on Saturday night "Kid
Smooth" Billy Moyer JR took home his 3rd win in the Isle of
Capri late model series.
There was no doubt
that the full moon was high in the sky, as
we had some of the best racing action of all year with some
heart stopping flips, pileups, and edge of your seat racing
action.
The final round of
the Isle of Capri late model series presented by Bad boy Mowers
will take place on September 3rd and 4th, make your plans now
you don't want to miss it!
Our next night of
racing action will be the 3rd annual Rockhard Powder Coating
$750.00 to win FWD Special on August 6th.
Round 4 Night 1 of the Isle Of Capri
Late Model Series is in the books, Fireball Jeff Floyd wins!

Jeff (FIREBALL) Floyd Started on the
poll position for night one of round 4 of the Isle of Capri Late
Model Series Feature event.
Jeff fell back into 2nd place shortly after the first few laps
to save his tires as Bill Frye moved into the lead and lead most
of the feature event, but when the time came, Jeff made his move
and retook the lead, the checkered flag and the $1500.00 to win
$300.00 to start Isle of Capri event.
Completing the top 5 where Bill Frye, Raymond Merril, Jeff
Taylor, and Brian Ritchie.
Night 2 of round 4 will be Saturday evening with racing starting
at 8pm. Saturday nights Isle of Capri feature will pay $2000.00
to win and $400.00 to start.

Stevens clams another NeSmith Late Model Victory!

Tyler Stevens of
Searcy AR clams another victory in the NeSmith Late Models.
Tyler made his way to the lead overtaking such competitors as
the 21L of Landers Motorsports driven by Richie Tosh, the 1V of
Johnny Virden, and the E26 of Dallas Everett. As of 6-20-2010
Tyler was in 2nd place in the NeSmith points standing, only 14
points behind the leader Roger Witt. Updated points will be
posted on Monday June 28th.
In the IMCA Mods it was
the 21W of Greg Waugh taking the feature win, David Hagler in
the #5 took the win in the Factory Stocks, and Tony Brooks in
the #11 took the win in the Front Wheel Drive Division.
The final night of
Round 3 of the Isle of Capri Series is in the books, and the
winner is, Richie Tosh!

Richie Tosh of Salado, AR
piloted the 21L
of Landers racing to victory lane Saturday night. Tosh now has
two wins under his belt in the Isle of Capri Late Model series.
The only other driver with two wins in the series is Billy Moyer
JR of Batesville, AR.
Tosh started the feature
race on the poll position and lead the entire race until the
checkered flag fell on lap 30, taking home the $2000.00 in prize
money.
Finishing second was
Friday nights winner the 12M of Raymond Merril.
In the supporting classes
it was the 9 car of Garrett Skaggs in the factory stocks, and in
the Front Wheel Drives it was the 11 car of Tony Brooks.
Round 4 of the Isle of
Capri late models presented by Bad Boy Mowers, will be on July
23rd and 24th.
The Winner of Round 3
Night 1 of the Isle of Capri Late Model Series is Raymond
Merrill

Raymond Merrill
driver of the 12M started on the poll position and lead the
entire race in the first half of round 3 of the Isle of Capri
Feature event. Hot on Merrill's tail for the feature event was
the F1 of Jeff Floyd.
In the Street
Stock Feature the 17 of Jeremy Tharp took the checkered flag and
in the IMCA Mod event it was Shawn Walsh in the 73 car getting
the win.

Memorial race Victory go's to Richie Tosh
Presented by National Recovery Specialist
Richie Tosh rounds out the
weekend with multiple victories at the Batesville Motor
Speedway.
On Thursday night Tosh
took home the win in the TrackTek racing fuel $3000.00 to win
street stock championship race which was rescheduled in March
due to rain.
On Friday night Tosh took
home the win in the NeSmith Late models feature event driving
the Landers 21L Late Model, filling in for Jared Landers which
was competing in another late model event out of state.
Tosh closed out the
weekend with the victory in the Matt Sturch Memorial $5000.00 to
win Street Stock event. Tosh worked his way to the lead position
passing such competitors as Robbie Arnold's #49 and the Keg1 of
Jeremy Russell.
In the supporting classes
the #7 of Andy Carpenter won the Factory Stock division and the
#11 of Tone Brooks took the victory in the Front Wheel Drive
division.
TrackTek Feature Makeup
Winner Richie Tosh

The 11X of Richie Tosh takes home the win for
the TrackTek Racing Fuel conclusion. The race was rained out
back in march, so the race was rescheduled for 6-3-2010 the
evening before the Matt Sturch Memorial race. Richie lead the
race from green to checkered, and made it look easy.
The race was plagued with a number of
cautions, but tosh held his lead even on the restarts.
Street stock action will continue at BMS with
the 2010 Matt Sturch Memorial on Friday June 4 and Saturday June
5th.
Round 2
Night Two, and the winner is T.J. Herndon!

T.J. Herndon of Atwood, TN
takes the feature win in the 2 night of Round 2 of the Isle of
Capri Late Model Series at the Batesville Motor Speedway.

T.J. Started out the
evening by winning his qualifying heat and
locking in his 1st place starting position for the A
main in a 20 car field.
The feature started out
wild and wooly, where on lap 2 there was a major pileup as two
cars got together knocking down the back stretch wall and
cutting the field down to 17 cars.
Involved in the pileup
where the 3X of Steve Tarry, 23F Joe Forman, 23 Brandon Smith, 2
Brian Ritchie and the 17N of Nick Black. Fortunately no one was
injured in this mishap.
As the race resumed T.J.
Lead the race till the checkered flag fell on the 30 lap
$2000.00 to win feature event.
Our next Isle of Capri
Late Model event will be on June 18th and 19th.

Jeff
Taylor of Cave City Arkansas piloted his #5 Jeff Taylor
motorsports late model to take the win in round 2 night one of
the Isle of Capri late model feature presented by Bad Boy
Mowers.
In the support classes the #17 of Jeremy Tharp wins the street
stock feature, Shawn Walsh takes the win in his #73 IMCA
modified.

The F1 of Jeff Floyd started on the pole position of night
2 in round 1 of the of the Isle Of Capri late model Challenge
Presented by Bad Boy Mowers. Jeff was doing a good job of
maintaining the lead until a flat tire during a caution flag
forced him to make a pit stop which placed him in the back of
the pack for the restart.
On the restart Eric Cooley in the 33C car assumed the lead
with the 5 car of Jeff Taylor and 23 of Eric Cooley hot on his
tail. As the race progressed Billy (Kid Smooth) Moyer JR worked
his way up from his 11th place starting position to overtake
race leader Eric Cooley in the 33C car.
We Congratulate Kid Smooth for winning Friday nights
$1500.00 to win, and Saturday nights $2000.00 to win Features.
Round 2 of the Isle of Capri late model Challenge will
take place on May 14th and 15th.
In the other classes the 5 car of David Hagler took the
win in the Factory Stock feature with the 17X of Tony Creasey
taking home the win in the Front wheel Drive Feature.
Peyton Taylor Wins round 1 of the 14th Annual Mid-America
Modified Championship presented by S&S Liquidations
Peyton Taylor made it
look easy as he drove his 01 IMCA Modified into victory lane Friday
night in round one of the 14th Annual Mid America Modified
Championship, taking home the $2000.00 to win purse.
Payton started on the
outside poll position of the 40 lap Feature and quickly made his
way to the lead position of the 24 car field.
Finishing 2nd was last
years BMS Modified points champion Tyson Franks in the 01A IMCA
Modified.
